Yeah but the programs in Tron Upraising and Legacy have way more ram and functions then the programs in Tron hense the better discs. It's like going from Colecovision to Super Nintendo. '82 tech vs '89 tech. Imagine kind of discs the Programs would using in a Computer today?

No. When they did this movie, everything was drawn in by a very (at the time) high-end computer.

I was thinking that same thing. It also happens in Tron: Uprising. They're constantly using them like blades instead of throwing them.

Very cool and interesting film. Nice visual effects for that time. Great acting. Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner and Cindy Morgan were impressive.

Tron is one of the most underrated & overlooked Sci-Fi films of the 80's (next to They Live, Scanners, The Dead Zone, The Quiet Earth, DeepStar Six, Lifeforce, The Hidden, Masters of the Universe, Leviathan, Millennium, The Philadelphia Experiment, The Deadly Spawn, From Beyond, Alien Contamination and Dune)

This how discs should be used, not using them as a round knife, as in the second film.
