this song is about god... i went to church for the first time in years yesterday. my life has sucked lately so my friend brought me to church wnith her. after yesterday i have my heart and faith in god. he gave me strength when my world felt like it was empty.

I loved your interpretation of this song, so what if there are phrases about God. Different people, different meanings, different loves. To me this song represents me and my boyfriend, I am not religious. To others it means God, because they are religious, everyone is entitled to their own thoughts <3

I see how people can see this song as being about couples, but since they use the phrase "Lord, I belong to You", I'm pretty sure its about belonging to God, because He's the only One who never leaves you. :)

Music is an art, so people can choose what they think it means to them, yes it cud and probally is a christian song about how you love jesus and shit, but thats not what other people look at it as, for me i look as it as a song that is about love and being together and being happy, other people amy disagree but thats my opinion, i dated a guy and he broke up with me for my bestfriend, im deeply in love with him still, but he doesnt care. Superchic[k] sings this? I always thought it was the BarlowGirls! But, what I don't get is that this is a Christian song, and people are getting the wrong Idea about it. People start to think about couples.
