I walked up to it, looking down the hall as I went then quickly opened the door. It was the bathroom and it was empty. Hmm. I walked down to the other rooms but each one was empty. Now for downstairs. I stood at the top and looked down; there were rooms on either side of the staircase so I had to be careful. I started walking down trying to look into both rooms at the same time. I got halfway down the stairs and could see fully into one of the rooms. The living room, no doors leading off, and once again empty. So there was the other room left, which I'm guessing is the kitchen. I kept my eyes on it and walked down the remaining stairs til I got to the bottom. I was right, it was the kitchen but it was empty.

There was one door leading off it which was closed. I walked slowly towards it and rested my hand on the handle. I twisted it and pulled it open. It was like a hallway. I walked through it cautiously and ended back up in the living room. Huh. I walked back down the corridor and ended up in the kitchen. The house was empty. I knew it. He wasn't this stupid; he would have known we'd come here and ran. I went to the front door and opened it (it was unlocked) and walked to the van and knocked on the side door.

???: *opening the door* I didn't hear any shots?

Stacy: It was empty.

???: The WHOLE house?

Stacy: Yeah. I knew he wasn't that stupid - if he could track our calls he would have found out that we were heading here and left.

???: SHIT! *he punched the sides of the van and started throwing things about* WE NEED TO GET HIM! I WISH HE WOULD JUST SIT STILL!

Stacy: You know he won't. It's gonna be pot luck if we ever see him.

???: Fucking hell!

Stacy: Calm down! And drive me back to school yeah?

???: Fine. Keep your phone on incase we find anything.

Stacy: Yeah right ... *I pulled my phone out my pocket and turned it on. I had 3 messages and 4 missed calls. Great. They were all from Nick, asking me about the phone calls and saying he was going back to school. I'll just talk to him there. It should be easy to find him; it's lunch time now*


**AT SCHOOL IN THE CANTEEN IN NICK POV**

Tom: And he finally shows up! *I walk over to the table*

Nick: Hey guys - have you seen Stacy?

Brad: From what we heard she was last at your place *he winked at me*

Nick: Yeah and she left and then she called - and thanks for giving her my number DEAN!

Dean: I haven't spoken to Stacy ... *he frowned*

Nick: Give over - she told me herself!

Dean: I'm being serious! I haven't spoke to her apart from this morning and you were there!

Nick: *okay he does look really confused ... maybe he didnt?* Well if you didn't who - *a pair of hands covered my eyes*

???: *whispering in my ear* Guess?
