People tend to make fun of those who are different or those they don't understand. If we were all alike this would be a boring world. Who a person loves is just as important as the fact that they can love. This is not a race to see who can "bag" the most ass. We were put on this earth to help each other. Hate should not even be in our vocabulary. We need to start looking at people for what good they have to offer. You are intelligent and beautiful and I am glad that you have someone special.
