Got cut off on the very end but I was basically done showing you the last one, anyways.
This one also shows testing with Sharpie stick pens, Le Pens, and Staedtler Triplus Fineliner pens. Clairfontaine Triomphe writing tablet and the Clairefontaine Trophee bulk paper. Then the journals. I was searching for a refillable FP friendly journal. I show a Maruman refillable journal, Clairefontaine clothbound journal, Exacompta refill, and finally the Exacompta Basics sketch journal, blank, with silver-edged paper. I bought paper and journals from GouletPens, Writer's Bloc, and Jet Pens.

  • Exacompta and clairfontaine are the same company I believe . I'm real curious about that exacompta sketch pad

  • @MrBawston I'm not sure if they are the same company, but they're both french papers. I tried looking on exaclair (dot) com because they import many french brands of paper products and it doesn't look like it is the same company on their site. I had thought they might be divisions of Clairefontaine, but now I am not sure.

The Exacompta is very fountain pen friendly, but it does take a long time to for the ink to dry. I get ink marks on my fingertips even after I thought it was dry.

  • Do you have a blog or website?it would be easier to chat with you..a Facebook page?

  • @Blissfulthings Oh that's so sweet! I have to tell you that I started using the Exacompts Basics journal and it has a REALLY long dry time with fountain pens. Especially with wetter inks, of course. You have to be really careful not to touch anything for a long time, but even using a Lamy Joy with Noodler's Polar Black ink it barely has a shadow! I think I am going to get a small sheet of blotter paper to just lay on the page after I'm done to prevent me from smearing the ink--LOL! ;)

  • yes its a small audience but we love you!

  • @Blissfulthings Yes, and then some! I'm one of the few of us folks who loves to sit and play with things like ink testing paper. Glad you liked it. It's a small audience. ;)

  • Love this ! I really like the blank sketch book

The inks your using are they the ones from your other video?
