Anti-Scientology Protest, Birmingham

ITV and other reporters took a statement from 'Anonymous'. I got statements from four or five protesters that day, and most people were happy to talk to me about what they were doing. The Scientologists released one spokesman, who gave a brief statement to ITV. I was not allowed to approach the others.

Well you could argue that all religion is a scam, but you gotta take these things down one at a time, you know? The almighty power of the Catholic church is probably hitting a bit high for people who meet on the internet.

Also, when you pay for college or university, you're paying for quality - and in my experience - unbiased education. You're paying to be qualified to play a role in society. You're getting something worthwhile out of it. They don't 'pretend' anything.

the impression i get is that scientolosts think they are better than everyone else and better than the lower class, they are dividing the classes with an ill informed myth.

It's almost like a modern form of eugenics based on class and if you don't have the money you're a slave that needs to be lead by the masters. But they just word it differently. :P

Also, the it about it not being free is pointless too. OK the Catholic Church for example doesn't force people to pay, but takes donations, but it's pretty much the same kind of thing. Especially things like making millions off the Pope visiting various places on the planet(recently Birmingham) by selling merchandise.

The people victimising Scientologists are people who are too scared to go after bigger religions like Islam or Christianity for fear of being called racist.

I'm Agnostic, but I hate the people that jump on the anti-scientology bandwagon. Because Scientology is a relatively small religion it's and easy target for morons like those interviewed in this clip.

The argument that some people who join are not in the right state of mind is ridiculous. All religions offer a salvation to people who are down in the dumps and claim to offer them a better way of life.

Yes, in the USA EVERY university--private, or public--requires you to pay $ if you want to learn, you are made to PAY MANY DOLLAR$ for your curiosity and your NEED to learn something useful to get a job. Also, EVERY religious church in the USA passes the basket around and expects you to put DOLLAR$ in it, and expects you to mail in envelops with DOLLAR$ in it--they just PRETEND that they do not charge you a fee... as they pass the basket around.Pfft!
