  • could you do a tutorial on reading the different bidders signs. like how to know when a bidders trying to bid up an extra 2.50 versus five?

  • @InAndOutMurder Thanks for the request. I will get on it as quick as I can.

  • @InAndOutMurder Some of the bidders will know enough about auctions to give you the half sign. (Which is shown by slashing one hand with the other or making a short slashing movement with one hand in the air.)  However a good auctioneer will be able to see this in the bidder's eyes. Watch your crowd and if a bidder has been with you the whole way and gets an "I don't know" look on their face. Cut the bid yourself even before they ask you to. Don't do this if you have other bidders interested.

  • Glad to hear you say some of these things. People need to understand they need to pay their dues. I have done a lot of free bid calling, if you love this business, respect it and be willing to pay your dues. Success will come.
