Oh, he is so lucky to have someone like you to love him the way you do. These birds are so loveable--they want to be with you 24hrs if possible. My bird loves to have her head scratched like that all the time. She loooovveees to cuddle. Check out my video of my bird playing on her swingie i made for her. She is 17yrs old.

blue crowns are such sweet birds, conures in general just have great dispositions. my BC loves to do this too
