You people act like guitar playing is dead...like he's young so he can't possibly be as good as the older guitar players.He isn't just an imitation of other guitar players. He's continually creating .he plays everything and he's the best at most of it.He doesn't just play the blues ..because its fucking boring.He combines genres and adds pop chords.. he created his own style and tone.I dont care if you dont like him but dont talk shit about him because he's better than you could even understand.

You keep acting like I'm questioning your John Mayer religion or something. I could be wrong, but even if John said that, I doubt he meant it. SOME (not all) of his biggest musical inspirations are blues artists, like I said. Blues is not something that gets old, at least in my opinion. If you play with soul, like I do, it's not something that gets boring. You learn new things every time you play. You feel the music.
