The day it all ended.
Prologue [Not shown in video] :
Two years after the defeat of Sorceress Ultimecia, Rinoas Sorceress powers have gotten out of control. Unable to contain the fear inside, she periodically loses consciousness, allowing a loop for Rinoas demented half to run rampant. Cities are destroyed in a matter of seconds, worlds reduced to ash. With her sanity at stake, Quistis, Selphie, Ivrine, Zell, and Squall take the Ragnarok, in hopes of getting her away, knowing the more she is around people, the more the fear will consume her. Weakness further strengthening the Sorceress inside. However, they made a terrible mistake. Rinoa feared for their safety above all others. The Sorceress takes control yet again, using Rinoas heart against her and killing everyone. Rinoa awakes, lying in the middle of the dead bodies of her beloved friends. Her heart slowly begins to break, tears welling in her eyes as she takes note of the blood on her own two hands.
This was her doing.
The blow was steadily growing until she laid eyes upon him. Her heart shattered, a loud scream erupting from her as she cradled Squalls bloody form against her, repeatedly stating how sorry she was, how much she loved him, loved them all. With her spirit torn, Rinoa curses the Sorceress inside, and takes the Ragnarok. She heads to the Esthar Sorceress Memorial, sending out a radio transmission to let them know of her arrival.
Fallen.
The day she went away.
Present [Where the video begins] :
"They came for me."
Esthar soldiers watch as the Ragnarok descends over the city, beyond the rocky mountain where the Sorceress Memorial lies. The current President (no longer Laguna Loire), orders the soldiers to assassinate the Sorceress by any means necessary. Rinoa painstakingly makes her way into the chamber Squall had rescued her from two years prior. Her heart clenches, knowing he wont be coming this time. Knowing, she would never again get to see his face. With this realization, Rinoa grasps her rings, wishing to die before she harms anymore. The memories of her past flood through her. Of her friends, and Squall. Of the wrong she had done.
"I didnt want to die, but..."
The sounds of guns cocking behind her doesnt alarm her. And she doesnt need to turn around to know what was about to happen.
"Everything I lived for... was gone."
The gunshots rang loudly, echoing throughout the room. Time seemed to stop, Rinoas painful cry resounding over the echoing shots, her form falling endlessly, lifelessly, to the cold floor. Sorceress Rinoa Heartillyhas been assassinated.
Having found the bodies of those close to Rinoa, Esthar soldiers are puzzled when the body of Squall Leonhart is missing. They come to a conclusion that even when she turned on the world, he remained her Knight. Therefore, the tabloids publish the events in the newspaper, issuing a man hunt.
Meanwhile, Squall continues on his bewildered path to nowhere. Having been walking for days on end, away from the stone orphanage, away from the lifeless bodies of his friends. Away from the realization that she was gone. Crumbling inside, Squall collapses to the ground. He begins to remember his time with Rinoa, two years ago, when things were perfect. When they were perfect.
"Rinoa...I failed you."
Everything fades to black, his mind haunted by the sound of her voice.
"Why did you have to die?"
