Naomi Klein is an award-winning journalist, author, and filmmaker. Her first book, the international bestseller No Logo: Taking Aim at the Brand Bullies, was translated into twenty-eight languages and called "a movement bible" by The New York Times.

She writes an internationally syndicated column for The Nation and The Guardian and reported from Iraq for Harpers Magazine. In 2004, she released The Take, a feature documentary about Argentina's occupied factories, co-produced with director Avi Lewis.

She is a former Miliband Fellow at the London School of Economics and holds an honorary Doctor of Civil Laws degree from the University of Kings College, Nova Scotia.

I find this a bit odd from a woman I supposed was intelligent. Stop worrying about C02 and associated protocols. Tackle the REAL issues affecting the poor: real pollution, not C02, the return of third world land to food production instead of bio fuels, end third world starvation, eliminate malaria and aids, and do something practical to help them. Fiddling around with unproven "warming" is a waste of time and a waste of a huge amount of money.

@spikesterg Well, if you don't know how man can cause that, then you know nothing about environmental science. I suppose you look it up. The reason other planets have it because it is the greenhouse effect, which can happen on other planets. Our planet has this feature too, and if you add as much CO2 to the atmosphere, like we are, you've got yourself a greenhouse gas effect. CO2 obviously is natural and isn't poison, however too much of the chemical has negative affects for US.

@michaelchristopherj I didn't say Gore discovered it, I meant that Gore exploited it for the purposes of profiting from the carbon credit scam. I'm all for cleaning up the planet. There is also climate change being noted on other planets in the solar system. Not sure how man could be causing that, but, I do agree that the polluting we have done on this planet needs to be curbed and cleaned. Perhaps we start with forcing those who bought and locked up patents to release them-We have capability

Eek. Reminiscent of "The Oxbow Incident" where a man was hanged for murder by a well-intentioned posse...who later found out that in fact no murder had been committed.

Theoretical science, direct evidence of data manipulation / deletion and the global temperature trend over the last 3000 years all show this so-called "crisis" doesn't even exist. The problem is made-up, the cause is made-up and the "solution" magically enriches those at the top pushing the "fix" from Al Gore to Maurice Strong

@codematrix - I don't know if you've seen it, but Jesse Ventura's Conspiracy Theory show did an episode on global warming recently. It's quite interesting... I just finished watching it. Thank god for the internet; although there is a lot of 'junk' out there, it is the single most important 'tool' in bringing us out of ignorance. I remember the time before internet and email. All you had was TV and News Media (for the most part) to rely on for 'information'.
