The violin, that is (see previous comment). Biber obviously never heard piano music himself (and I have a tendency to not detect it myself). The dance probably isn't exactly "period" either - I wouldn't know. But Gil Morgenstern's playing takes me directly to a 17th century nobleman's fireplace. Great violinist.
