Peter Kogler Computer Animation @ MUMOK, Vienna
We visited the museum of modern arts while we were on vacation in Vienna at the end of december 2008. This is an amazing projection filling the whole (very large) room. I made this clip by putting my camera (Canon Ixus 870 IS) in one of the four corners on the floor. You will see the whole program play and at the end start over again.
Be sure to visit this museum when you get the chance!
Installation Art at the Mumok: Peter Kogler 79-08
With Peter Kogler, the Mumok presents one of the most important representatives of more recent Austrian art. Kogler, born 1959 in Innsbruck, had great success internationally with his areas installations.
Kogler's oeuvre is dominated by the increasing virtualization of our living space. His main motif is the ant, with its symmetrical ornamental body in its organized labyrinth-living.
In the 1970s, Peter Kogler became known with Performances and actions. In the early eighties his emphasis changed to media and computer technology.
Today, Kogler lives and works in Vienna, where he also has a professorship at the Academy of Fine Arts.
The exhibition at the Mumok spans the arch from early pictures and objects to today's computer projections filling entire rooms. Within the framework of the exhibition, Peter Kogler also creates an outside installation.

the artwork is awesome, absolutely.
but also your video of it deserves some real credit, i think - the steady camera frame with those silhouettes moving around in it really works for the atmosphere.
great work. thanks for posting
