A Proposed 55MPH Speed Limit

Rexx Rektal has heard that "they" are thinking about reinstating a Federal 55MPH speed limit, and will comment on it Now!

From 1974 to 1995, there was a Federal 55MPH speed limit, enacted by Jimmy Carter. Rexx Rektal remembers this, and has some thoughts on the new proposal.

Senator John Warner suggested that the US reinstate the national 55MPH speed limit, in order to reduce fuel usage on the highways, and reduce accidents.

The results from 1972 to 1995 indicate that this worked, with a reduction of oil usage of 167,000 barrels a DAY and a reduction in fatalities of 4,000 people per year.

Rexx Rektal will admit that the Rexx Rektal mobile will get better economy at 55, and the jackasses can just go around. People drive like idiots, and it would be better if the idiots drive slower.

Of course, the best motivation for the government to do this is the massive ticket barrage that will ensue, getting fat cats fatter, or morbidly obese! Remember the last time!

Rexx Rektal would have a personal motivation for this law passing, Rexx Rektal can remake the song "Rexx Rektal can't drive 55", but the original did not speak in the 3rd person.

Will the American people like it...NO! Will America do anything about it...NO! Really, what will YOU do about it, for or against? You don't do ANYTHING! Happy double nickels, you jerks!

if the feds institute a 55 mph limit im going to rent some rider trucks , take up all the lanes side by side and run a 55 mph road block in rush hour traffic in miami to all the way tallahasse. to show the government what exactly will happen if ever 1 did 55 mph. i will shut i95 down
