please isaac newton's laws of optics and his work on optics no doubt revolutionary for western civilization already existed in other parts of the world at least 150 years before isaac newton even existed. Read Isaac Asimov's history of science and you'll know who did what first and you'll see that a lot of European scientists that we were all taught to worship in schools were all second movers.
