Ironic that the EXACT same dichotomies exist between the old and young generations today. I sort of agree with the sentiments expressed here. If anyone has an issue with the lack of quality music and shallow celebrity culture of today, they need look no further than the 80s, MTV and the sudden emergence of style eclipsing substance. However, many kids today seem to have a very high opinion of the 80s, which is sustained by the fact they never lived through them

The 80s in the US/Australia/Canada were better! They sucked though in the UK.
