It has to reload after 30 rounds. It's so stupid. Why have a gun that can fire 800 rounds per minute, if it's only in theory ? to fire 800 rounds would take FOREVER when reloading after 30 shots.

Sorry but you're dead wrong - it has a 252 round magazine. The burst in the video is 36 rounds so your theory is totally blown.

Gun based air defence is all about rate of fire - more rounds on target in less time means a higher hit probability. The gun aim point prediction and ballistic calculation is more accurate if the time taken to deliver the burst is shorter - ergo high rate of fire is better.

I noticed the difference between firing 1 round and several rounds, can the gun shift ammotype in the heat of a battle, or is it just using the same type?

The same ammo can be used in multiple ways: fired as air bursting or as a frangible penetrator round against hard targets.

@MultiSr16 I would LOVE to see that, but with it's rate of fire, it would chew through ammo like a bitch, i think it would need at least 1000 rounds. Would be a great AIFV though if the ammo issue didn't matter.

This is from the German Industrie (Reihnmetall) They can Shoot 1000 rounds per Minute, like an MG.

In Germany it change the Gepart System
