  • Just so everyone knows the RC went down in Dec...sad day...good news is she is back strong with sat high mounts :) All you I4 posers can be quiet (or be as loud as you want) because the sato will cover up the girly bikes you ride

  • The RC51 has a full yoshi on it now. The VFR is the old bike. They actually are in a historical sense the same pedigree. Read your history books girls and boys, the VFR is based off the racing V of yester-year.

  • Sweet rides!

  • yawn.......................

  • I have a 99 VFR. Love the sound, like none other. Also have a mini VFR, a Magna. Nothing like a V4 bike for a motorcycle. Did you know Mr. Honda himself said the V4 is the best engine he ever built, although I am not sure if he was referring to the VFR, I think he was.

  • VFR 800FI its very valued, so you can get money back anytime, and its just decent. I changed it+ for a vwgolf, girlfriend went for doctor and i bought a cbr900rr150hp and the 2door bimmer.I wont miss any of both old focus models.

  • im sry but kawasakis are shit!

  • you can get much more aggro notes out of an RC31 no doubt! i was surprised that it did not sweep the VFR away (good bike though).

  • Yep, I found out my transmission was bad... So as I'm tearing it apart and putting it back together, I might drill into the main gallery and solve this nasty little oil problem once and for all. If I do the main gallery mod, I don't have to screw with my oil filter, and I get 90PSI right to the cams!

But I wish the asshole told me the transmission 6th gear was shot before I bought it. Other than that, it rode great when I had it out. Very punchy, but plenty of snarl around 6,000.

  • it's the camshaft material... nicknamed 'chocolate cams'.. if yours are in good condition, dont bank on them staying that way too long if you work it. :o)

I'm fairly sure there's an oil feed mod you can do to minimise the deterioration, or perhaps there's a replacement cam available???
