  • Nothing at all what I subscribed to this channel for.

    1 star.

  • Turning the light off and recycling bags is NOT going to save the earth.

All it does is meake you feel like you're doing something when in fact you're not helping at all. It's a pacifier, being promoted by the very polluters of the planet so that our need for meaningful change can be reconciled with their desire for things to not change at all. Don't fall for it people.

  • When I go on holyday, I live my two Hummers in the garage with the engine running... every little help !

  • I walked around with a garbage bag and a glove and picked up trash on the beautiful Island that I have the honor to live on. My son watched me, pointed out where garbage was, and encouraged me. People stopped and said thank you. Every little thing you do does count..."what good is a cynic with no better plan?" Ben Harper :)

  • I Know this guy... I once debated with him on Global Warming. He thinks it doesn't exist. This debate was less than a year ago. This man is a hypocrite.

  • stupid

  • 4 years ago I would have agreed. But now I think it's really more harmful than helpful because if we are content with empty gestures nothing real is going to change. What comes after the small steps? For which big steps does turning off the light prepare us? Because I don't see it.

  • this is billed as Ben Harper so who is this? I appreciated this persons personal perspective especially the 'I' statements up to 0:21 then suddenly "it's neat that there's that little bug in your ear now" ...a bug in who's ear?!? ...my ear ...our ears the use of 'you' and 'your' always jars my consiousness ...anyways I'm just sayin' ♥

I agree♥ Awareness is the first step; ...a beginning

  • wtf

  • The amount of electricity you use in your households does not change the amount of coal or hydro the power plant uses to produce electricity. They will keep pumping it out so that everyone and their dogs will have electricity with no shortages.

Turning off your lights in fact does not help besides saving you money. It doesn't cost the electric company anything more that what they would be doing anyway. Sorry to burst your bubble.

You're right about the bags though.
