7:57 this is not the last time this happens here either. it happened again in an almost duplicate of the crash except this time it happened during bush series practice in 2002 to Mike Harmon. something tells me they gotta figure something else out for that access road.

We just love Rusty Wallace crashing at Daytona, don't we? LOL!!!!!!!

@sportsguruisme As a DW fan, it was always enjoyable to see Rusty fail to win. It still bothers me Rusty spun DW during the '89 all-star race.

3:02 who was that whos car accelerates wildly and slams viciously into the inside retaining wall at daytona?
C0LL1N 1 year ago
@C0LL1N The racer hitting the outside then inside wall viciously is Brett Bodine, brother of Geoff [Who's in the red Motorcraft fire suit at Brett's door, out from a previous crash] and current NASCAR driver Todd Bodine.
Brett is now the current Sprint Cup Series pace car driver. The owner of Brett’s green #26 Buick Regal was NHRA drag racing champion Kenny Bernstein. They teamed together for 4 years.

whats left of the mx-er at 1:30?? dead??
mdivermicelli 2 years ago
The MX-er is Gary Wells, one very lucky guy. Gary missed the down ramp and veered into a solid concrete wall, tossing him left to the ground where he and the bike should have traveled once off the down ramp.
Gary nearly died with a torn aorta [Heart], fractures to the pelvises, and fractures to both lower legs. He fully recovered to ride again five months later. The accident was due to the down ramp being moved without his approval hours before the jump.
Gary still rides today.
