Vid #3. I'm an auto & motorcycle race fan. Watching race strategies play out is interesting. Controversy & close calls raise the excitement. Unfortunate non-fatal crashes & tumbles add that much more life to every race.

Within this video are crashes and tumbles from two NASCAR Series, Supercross, Monster Trucks, Drag Races, and a few other alternative sports from the '80s-'90s. Retro tunes replace the original race day audio. The replacement of commentators is due to a malfunctioning VCR... Yes, VCR!!! I still have one... Ugg!

The video shows face-wincing crashes and tumbles. All drivers and riders within this compellation "lived to race another day." No gore!

Some notable racers are Gary Wells, Jeff Stanton, Ricky Johnson, Jeff Ward, Mike Kiedrowski, Tommy Kendall, Jimmy Spencer, Mark Martin, Brett Bodine, Michael Waltrip, Darrel Waltrip, Rusty Wallace, and the late Dale Earnhardt.

Enjoy all the "Whoops!!"

  • We just love Rusty Wallace crashing at Daytona, don't we? LOL!!!!!!!

  • @sportsguruisme As a DW fan, it was always enjoyable to see Rusty fail to win. It still bothers me Rusty spun DW during the '89 all-star race.

  • 3:02 who was that whos car accelerates wildly and slams viciously into the inside retaining wall at daytona?

  • @C0LL1N The racer hitting the outside then inside wall viciously is Brett Bodine, brother of Geoff [Who's in the red Motorcraft fire suit at Brett's door, out from a previous crash] and current NASCAR driver Todd Bodine.

Brett is now the current Sprint Cup Series pace car driver. The owner of Brett’s green #26 Buick Regal was NHRA drag racing champion Kenny Bernstein. They teamed together for 4 years.

  • whats left of the mx-er at 1:30?? dead??

  • The MX-er is Gary Wells, one very lucky guy. Gary missed the down ramp and veered into a solid concrete wall, tossing him left to the ground where he and the bike should have traveled once off the down ramp.

Gary nearly died with a torn aorta [Heart], fractures to the pelvises, and fractures to both lower legs. He fully recovered to ride again five months later. The accident was due to the down ramp being moved without his approval hours before the jump.

    Gary still rides today.
