I got me a present for my birthday - Mad Catz Portable Drum Kit. It's an official 3rd party controler which I'm sure fans of the game have heard of. Ever since I got it I was looking for ideas for a stand, because drumming while the pads are laying flat down doesn't feel very comfortable. I was searching the web for some ideas and I got it from a fellow YouTuber - skateboardsuperstaar. I finished the stand in about 3 hours over a period of 2 days. I then attached the drum pads to the stand by duct taping a metal L-shaped thingy to a pad and then screwing a screw in the stand. The control panel is secured by plastic clams. I also added some cork padding on the bass drum pedal so it doesn't slide around.

I don't drum for real, but I'd like to someday. This is my first form of drumming ever.

My drum kit is made of:
1 Mad Catz Portable Drum Kit
some old wood
some duct tape
4 L-shaped metal brackets

My gamertag is mjemec.

  • Heh, I just used your idea and made a stand like this for my portable rock band drum kit, thanks a lot. For the comments about just buying the actual drum kit? These are more responsive and only cost £7 while the actual original ones cost around £40 - £50

  • @karasvadim I'm glad this video helped at least someone. :)

  • now this is a HEAVY drumset haha

  • @gac3la Why would you think that? it's not heavy at all.

  • Do they work on guitar hero, since there's no plates ?

  • @no0neX Yes, they work with GH.
