The Armenian Weekly Editor Khatchig Mouradian continued his conversations on Capitol Hill, speaking with Congressional Human Rights Caucus Co-Chair James McGovern (D-MA) to hear the latest on U.S. action on Darfur and Congressional efforts to recognize the Armenian Genocide.
Commenting on Turkey's perennial threats against Genocide recognition, Rep. McGovern stated, "If Turkey has a tantrum over the fact that we recognize a historical fact, so be it. They will get over it. Ive always said that if Turkey recognized the genocide it would show the world that they are a mature democracy. By spending all these millions of dollars for lobbyists to come up here and intimidate Members of Congress, in a certain way it ties this current government of Turkey to the genocide.
Mouradian's interview is showcased as part of the ANCA Capitol Conversations series, bringing Congressional viewpoints on issues of concern to the Armenian American community and anti-genocide activists around the world.

I find the comment below absolutely hilarious.. First he says there was no genocide and then he says long live turkey we will finish you off.. Way to contradict yourself idiot. But genocide is a proven fact, so keep denying facts in the end turkey will be embarrassed once it is fully internationally acknowledged that you murdered the first Christian nation in the world, that's going to make turkey look worse than the nazis it's sucks to be turkey
