The 'Living Well' campaign features real people with dementia who declare 'I have dementia I also have a life'. The advertisements are designed to increase public awareness about the condition and to outline simple things everyone can do to help people live well with dementia.

We spoke to one of the people with dementia in the commercial, Bill Wilson, about the challenges of living with dementia.

In 'Making the commercials' we also spoke to Carole, Peter and Rachael all of whom live with dementia and feature in the campaign, Director General of Social Care David Behan, Linda Seaward of Alzheimer's Society, Chairman of advertising agency DLKW Greg Delaney, as well as art director Jackie Steers and copywriter Ira Joseph. Revealing interviews from all involved consider the background to the campaign, the creative ideas behind the shoot, and the excitement of being on set.

According to new research one in three people are uncomfortable around people with dementia.

The full results of the MORI poll were announced by Care Services Minister Phil Hope as he launched a new NHS dementia awareness campaign.

There are more than 750,000 people in the UK affected by dementia with numbers set to rise to 1 million by 2021. More than half of these have Alzheimer's disease.
