  • yeah, i disagree that being a good husband and father and son can alleviate messing up in the finals, for your public image:

    #1 Alan Webb is unmarried

    #2 For olympic athletes, you're only in the spotlight for 15 minutes. sports illustrated isn't going to run an article on whether some olympic distance runner is a good father and husband

    #3 on the other hand, if you give back and do community service like joey cheek, you get points, but you have to win a medal first
