If lonliness remains, then after awhile, it becomes comfortable. Loneliness becomes a security blanket that you wrap yourself in for protection. Loneliness is an enemy but it becomes like a friend. Sad that I have to snuggle up against the enemy for warmth because thats all there is. True story - as a teen I let another teen punch me in the gut as hard as he could. Then I laughed about it 'cause its better to have that kind of friend than none. What a loser I was, and still am.
