I found this map error glitch while attempting to mine as deep as possible; it appears I went a bit too deep. I was pretty pissed off when I discovered this, because I mined straight down underneath me, fell and lost (among other things) a diamond pick. Live and learn, I suppose. Ah, the follies of alpha.

  • This is called the void not a glitch

it was MEANT to be here

  • @pockle228 If you read the description you'd know that I'm saying the hole in the Bedrock is the glitch, not the presence of the Void. I am aware that the Void itself is indeed not a glitch.

  • IT'S A ENTRANCE TO THE VOID NOT A GLITCH!!

  • @Thelegodude09 I assure you, this hole in the Bedrock is indeed a glitch.

  • This is stupid. The early alpha-versions sucked. Get the 1.0 update and make decent vids please. End of conversation.

  • I even found this too. I made a tall pillar, flew up there, and I fall into the void!

  • Do you EVER go on wikipedia?

  • @jhonytwoface534 You're confusing chunk rendering errors (yes, common in Survival Multi-Player) and the hole in the Bedrock illustrated in this video. The former is simply the client lacking chunk data for the server's map, so it displays nothing. The latter (what's in the video) is an error in the generation of the actual terrain and has nothing to do with the former. I don't know why you felt it necessary to bring up the multi-player chunk rendering glitch, as it is not what's in the video.

  • @FattDaddyInc bedrock is the way for notch to set limits on how far you can dig down but there are some cases where a natural hole will pop up in the bedrock.it isn't a glitch its just that a chunk got deleted during rendering.why is still a mystery

  • it's weird that you could only find the void in minecraft alpha
