dude an advise.. dont hit the drums that hard when is a mellow song.. try hit the drums like kind of softly and try to do creative fills, dont use the same fills as it is in the song.

I use the same fills as the song for two reasons:

One, most people are looking for an accurate cover, most people hate improv.

Two, it sounds dumb when you don't because then you hear both at the same time.

You want to cover it accurately but you miss out on all the ride and tambourine playing at the beginning and end.
