Introduced in ColdFusion 8, the cfdiv tag creates an AJAX powered html container by default a div. This video shows a basic implementation of the tag to submit a poll via AJAX.

  • This isa great demo, unfortunately some of the tags can only be found in CF 9

like ajaxlink So, what did people do before V9 ???

  • I would rather see "Some general content" 6 times instead of #repeatString("Some general content",6)#

Examples should be simplified to show only what's relevant to the subject matter.

By having repeatString(), you are introducing a new tag that has nothing to do with the example.

You also state "this is where we would normally do some database work, I just didn't do it on this one".

PLEASE: Do what you would do normally! Not something esoteric like a flash chart!

    Your mouse clicks too loud.

  • Great Tutorial, Easy to Follow 5 STARS!

  • This is very cool. I've been using Jquery to do stuff like this, but now that I can do it with Coldfusion and only Coldfusion this is very exciting. I have yet to give this a try, but I will surely be trying this soon.
