Good song. I caught Jack a couple years back in a tiny little place I didn't expect to see him, but that's Jack for you. I got a chance to talk a few good minutes with him, he is quite an interesting guy to say the least. Good job with the song. What model guitar you got there?

I really like how you kept the integrity of the song, and enhanced it. Nice work.

I love the song. I had a Boxer named Woody, but he had been named before we got him. Woody Guthrie was great it was so sad he passed so young. I'd love to hear what he would say about what is going on in this country.

I'd only heard Jack's version before this. Nice work.
I heard Jack say once after he asked the time: "2:44? That's my favourite time of day. 2:44. It's got a forty-four in it."

--- thanks pal, i'm throwing this traditional song on my CD i just am finishing, it's one of a couple of Woody Guthrie/Ramblin Jack influenced songs that i'm adding with my originals.... something about how the narrator "never did go back there, boys, no i never did go back..." has always made this song powerful as well, thanks for the comment! Did you see Jack in Australia when he was there a couple years back...??
