Joe Bouchard, his brother Albert and Les Braunstein, original members of Blue Oyster Cult (now playing under the name Underbelly)perform "Dont Fear The Reaper" live at TAPSCON 2008.
The night before this gig i got an obscure from Albert asking if I lived by Clearwater FL. I do, one town over. We spoke when he got to town and asked "do you want to play?" I can't begin to tell you much fun it was to play with Albert, Joe, & Les on the same stage at the same time. A historical moment for sure.
We appreciate the attention but for the record we just called ourselves UNDERBELLY. It was a hot day in Florida (a previous lead singer had fainted and fallen off the stage. Tommy Z sat in and made everything hotter. - Les Vegas
Yep. Les and Albert were in Soft White Underbelly then Stalk Forrest Group. Then Eric Bloom took over Les. Joe might have played a little bass on SFG too, but Les might have left by then.
BTW other players are great too...ex-BOC (not origional) Keys Tommy Z,David Hirshberg guitar from the Brain Surgeons,Les Braunstien from the pre-BOC days. Looks like a blast.
