If its red or orange, its a "supervisor". It usually has around 2 to 3 white "monitor" orbs flying nearby. Its documented and logged in Nellis AFB. But official stand is still swamp gas, weather balloons, and planet Venus. You know the drill.

The red color was caused by it being shot towards sunset. I color balanced the footage to natural daylight. I believe it was solitary, definitely spinning or changing very rapidly, like a liquid metal (this from watching the close-up frames repeatedly). The little orb atop bigger orb shape seems to be seen fairly often.

Yes, if I had shot it, it would be even better! However, the gentleman that did (deisel83) has the original footage, so you can see where I started. He sent me the original .vob files of of the camera, so there is no trickery. It also shows the before and after, of his father changing a tire in front of their house, and an argument about who is going to film it, the mom or the dad. Afterwards there is some footage of Venus with characteristic color changes on the horizon.

i think this might be a mylar helium balloon reflecting light in the red wave.they are heavier than latex and extremely reflective.

What would cause it to be stationary? Even tethered, at the height it's at it would evidence some motion due to turbulence. If it were not tethered, it should be moving, up I imagine. Also, the shape is quite unusual. The sequence from 6:40 - 7:50 shows several interesting features, including lighter areas beneath the object resembling jet afterburner exhaust.

My father and i saw something similar to this years ago on a hunting trip. I first noticed it out of the corner of my eye along the baseline of a distant mountainscape. My first reaction was that it was a motorcycle helmet. I brought it to my fathers attention, we both sat and watched as it drifted off in to the air higher and higher father and father away. Given its size we never gave it much relevance however,  18 years later i still wonder what the hell it was. If only i had a camera than

nice video Barry I THINK the black spots are caused by light which is too intense for the ccd chip the way they move around tells me the objects surface shape is changing, you can clearly see it happening even though the clouds behind it are in good focus, nice work .

I realize that people don't walk around with tripods...but for god's sake...find a pole...side of a house...lie on your back...DO SOMETHING! If you're filming something of importance...don't just film it...film it right!

it cant be a missle or an aircraft(would have heard it)a kite wouldnt go up that high but it might have been a balloon and i belive in aliens and ufos and it doesnt look like an ufo ive ever seen
