My Hero - Sega Master System

'My Hero' is right....

This is My Hero on the Sega Master System. Nothing too impressive about this game, and nothing that I really like about this game. Still it's fun sometimes to play just to see how far I can go. I saw this game on a list of other games behind the Sega Master System Poster inside the game case. I forgot which...probably Ghost Busters.....or maybe Astro Warrior...Well anyway, I decided to try this game out. If it was pointed out by Sega along with numerous other titles out of the entire collection of games they released, then maybe there was something good about this game. I mean, Space Harrier was one of them and that was Awesome.

Okay, before I go on, it's one of those games on the Sega Card. You know, like Teddy Boy? Remember that one? So coming from that, I really was expecting something simple. And I was right. Now don't get me wrong, I don't hate this game, and there isn't really anything that not to like about it. It's just that maybe I was expecting a little too much. In the 1985 arcade version on the Sega System 1, there was more than 1 boss that you fight over and over. You had this Rockin' gang leader, then you had something else....I think it was an Alien or something. I was hoping it would be here as well, but no, you just got the Gang Leader and fight him at every end of the level.

Also I just wanna know, why does this main character(His name is Steven, just to be correct about it.) doesn't remember on each round after beating the boss that he might be tricked and lose his girl for like the 3rd time? Gotta give the gang boss credit though. He's determined to have that girl. Forget about all the millions of other girls out there, he wants THAT one.

I wish I could say it wasn't but I spent days on this game to get to atleast round 5. The Arcade port was endless but this is the SMS here. It might seem endless, but there has to be an end to it. But if it goes farther than 10 rounds, I'm not gonna try anymore. I'm serious. >.>

I remember this game as a kid, it was fuckin' solid.

The longest game I played was 16 rounds. I got a lotta lives by kicking the last dog from behind. I used an auto function controller, which helped me jump over the fire that moves back and forth quickly.

you could get extra lives by killing the last dog or knife launcher dude from behind.

i've still got this game and the old sega console....nd i still cant complete it....my mum can get further than i can! prob cos she use to play on it more than i did! lol
