Two Punjabi girls created history at the Passing out Parade of AFMC on Thursday .. Symbolically it marked the coming of age of gender equality (a bit too late, perhaps) within its tri-services training establishment of the Armed forces. The first instance was the selection of a deserving Lady Cadet to command the parade following the foot prints of Surg Lt Cdr Wahida Prizm became the first commissioned lady officer to command a parade. A Ludhiana girl Lt Harleen Chopra was seen confidently leading the passing out parade of AFMC, as 103 medical graduates got commissioned into the Armed Forces Medical Services. Harleen enthralled the viewers by her commanding voice, as she gave commands to her fellow cadets with unmatched authority and grace.
