Transnational Issues-------------(more)
"Dokdo" is a clearly Korean territory. Historically, Korea has been taking full control over Dokdo for 1500 years except the Japanese Occupation Period.

Then you can ask wonder why Japan claimed that Dokdo belonged to Japan? Unfortunately, when a country dominates another, the main thing lost is the territory. Such was the case of Korea, when Korea was occupied by Japan (1910~1945).

However, After the Second World War, Korea, being liberated from Japan, recovered its territory, including Dokdo. In spite of that history, Japan claimed that Dokdo belonged to Japan distorting historical facts. It's because of Japan's hidden policy of imperialistic expansion.

We cannot sit back and watch Japan justify its history of aggression and colonization and pursue hegemonic power, because the issue concerns the future of the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia.

If international society pays no attention and connives about Japan's hidden policy of imperialistic expansion, It would pose a great obstacle to amicable relations between all the family of Asia and Japan in the 21st century.

  • US and the world say Takeshima is Japanese island historically. look up San Francisco peace treaty.

The historical Korean map of Dokdo points to another island closer to Korea and not this one. The shape and location of the island do not match but match another island.

The Japanese maps from hundreds of years ago show Takeshima in the correct location and shape. the Koreans have zero proof that Dokdo was ever Korean. time for compensation and apology for illegal occupation by Koreans lol

  • Korea was a colony of China for thousands of years until 1897 when Japan negotiated with China and made Korea independent nation. after which Korea became a part of Japan because Koreans were afraid of being invaded by Russia. Japan developed Korea into a nation from nothing building infrastructure and schools and hospitals which cause Korean population to double and literacy to rise from 10 to 65%. Koreans should be thankful to Japan instead of stealing Japanese islands.

  • I like @eylee86 since you live in Korean like me!

  • @eylee86 Oh, you mentioned about "caption" in this video clip, is that right? Boy, - these caption are mistranslation... I would say this is very successful video clip since people like you become strong DokDo believer. Hey dude, "DokDo" is invented word to justify illegal occupation of the island by Korean Government in 1952.

  • @eylee86 - What are telling about, dude? Are you telling about miserable Korean history? We all know that Korean were miserable servant of Chinese dynasty for more than 1,000 year, don't worry. Japan helped Korea from miserable situation in 19 century... I give you a advice to learn more about Korean history by watching "19 century Korean History" in YouTube video.

  • @eylee86, Hello my Korean friend - I have personally many Korean Friends - thus here is sincere advice for you.... Get a girl friend in real word before writing such comments. Your comments are full of misunderstanding and wrong information about Korean history. You need a love - Shall I introduce you one of my Korean girl friends?

  • @eylee86 Hi there! I saw your uploaded video about "帝國陸海測量部編纂" in 1903 . What are you trying to lying about that? Funny thing is that the map clearly shows readers that "Matshima (松島)" within Japanese Boarder. You are proving that the "DokDo"(松島)" was part of Japan by yourself. You are enemy of KOREAN now Good Job though. Check the wonderful Korean poor life with “the 19th century Korea.History that Korean doesn't learn through life Old ...” You will be shocked to death, dude!

  • Picture showed is 5:37 is not "DokDo"! Its "Ulleungdo (鬱陵島)" . At those days Japan called the boarder island of the Chosun territory as "Takeshima" but pointing current "Ulleungdo (鬱陵島)" Why are Koreas making this kind of easy fake video?? Do you really think Korean can make international educated people deceived? I would say NICE TRY though. - Truehistory. - AGAIN "DokDo" is invented word to justify illegal occupation by KOREAN Government.

Here is simple equation ILLEGAL = = "DokDo"

  • @eylee86 Hello, my Friend, Yes - KOREA agreed with Japan about "Takeshima" in 1905. however suddenly in 1952 Ur government occupied the "Takeshima" Island illegally, dude. What surprising thing is that Korean people did not know the true history and blindly believe that "Takeshima" is Korean territory. - Dont worry it time to wake up! You can start by removing this kind of incorrect video.- Truehistory.

  • @eylee86 How are you man! You seem to be a little smarter than others. You told terrible lie here - Japan has known ur lovely "Dokdo" at least from 1696 in Map submitted by Kotani Ihei as Matsushima Island in detailed manner. By the way we had called "Ulleungdo (鬱陵島)" as "Takeshima" at those days. However when nation territory was decided between Korean and Japan, Japan left you 鬱陵島 but not Mastushima and updated the name "Takeshima" as boarder island in 1905 "公示四十号" - KOREA agreed with Japan?

  • @MrJeylee - When you say something - please be human at least not animal - "DokDo" illegal occupation by KOREAN GOVERMENT.

  • Don't worry KOREANS - "DokDo" was "Invented" word to justify its illegal occupation by Korean Government. Hey, dude KOREA was outside scope of both Potsdam/Cairo treaty and San Francisco Treaty Learn world history first! When Japan was defeated in WW2, there was no KOREA - U were a region of Japan. What KOREAN did to Japan with "DokDo" just a robber/thief -illegal activity at government level. However we know that KOREAN has nothing valuable except talent of telling a lie. - Turehistory.

  • I love @eylee86

  • I teach you stupid "Japanese Monkey"

    "DOKDO is KOREA ISLAND"

    "DOKDO is KOREA TERRITORY"

  • Hello! "Dokdo" was the dream word suddenly "invented" by Korea to support their illegal occupation after 1952. No map or historical records show that the island has belonged to Korea expect newly “generated” and “modified” map and records after this illegal occupation. The worst thing is that Korean Government promotes illegal activity as National policy -Let's accuse the Korean Illegal activity at International Court of Justice! We have already realized that Korea + DokDo = illegal.

  • Dokdo is still there in our hands. Japan, come and get it!!!!!

  • 【Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea】

The Takeshima problem was shelved as a dispute processing matter in "Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea".

Therefore, the occupation of Takeshima in South Korea becomes an illegal occupancy.

South Korea government seems not to be explaining this fact to the South Korean.

    South Korean is pitiful.

  • i wonder how many ppl read history books other than there textbook from school lol

  • this is ridiculous.. why don't u Japanese people claim even Korea is Jananese terretory then? Still Korean army and Korean people are living in Dokdo speaking Korean and writing Korean. You Japanese just NEED Dokdo to take the natural resources and use it for a the army base. Dokdo is KOREAN TERRETORY. It is a

    true history.

  • @xLadyRabbitx It's not the Island. It's the implication of Japanese actions that not just Koreans, but the international community is offended at.

  • @ChankoroSlaughter Nice argument. Care to back it up with facts?

  • @xLadyRabbitx

Nation is not just about the land.

It's the land, sky and the sea. If Japan steals it, all the natural resources around will be theirs.

And most importantly, to Korean people, Dokdo is a symbolism of Japan's distortion of history and our Freedom from Japanese Conquer.

It's not just a small land.
