goodkittie..have you never heard (paraphrase) " the mark of a superior intellect is that it can hold two opposing ideas in mind at once without conflict"? It holds for the heart, too.

Step back from "old" ideas so you can fill your head with "new" ideas? Maybe life -- this life, anyway -- isn't ABOUT being "happy." Anyone who can be "happy" when so much of the world is suffering, has lost the ability to empathize.
