Actually i think every person who goes to the internet with their own home computer gives away her/his privacy, because you always leave hints and traces. The only way of doing it is to confuse, you have to put up another line so they cannot get your pc ID-code. Anything else is nonsense. Everybody can find you because of your pc´s ID-code. When you have a blog or profile or website you are an open book anyway, because you cannot hide your identity and it is easy to find out everything about you

Is this only about the government asking for info on you? What about google, yahoo, etc. storing your surfing habits in the first place? and selling your info to marketers so they can "target" you more effectively?
