It's interesting that Hersh pretends that the assassination plots against Castro began during the Kennedy administration. In fact, these plots started during the Eisenhower administration, and evolved into a CIA-Mafia assassination team alliance against Castro, as CIA Director Richard Helms later admitted. The CIA continues to this day to ally itself with criminal elements to perform its dirty political deeds.

H does not pretend that assassination plots against Castro began with JFK. H says it was Eisenhower's policy and JFK bought it "hook, line and sinker." This vid is a mini-history lesson of the Cold War period, lucid, meticulously sourced and dramatic in presentation. Exactly what we have come to expect from H's work. Hersh is a national treasure.

Hersh is likely a CIA plant aided by the agency to help him secure a Pulitzer in order to provide him cover as a legitimate investigative journalist rather than the liar & fraud he is. His book on JFK is suffused with lies, distortion, unsubstantiated claims, baseless gossip, unfounded rumors, & known disinformation pasted together in a poisonous pastiche of posthumous assassination of a brave President who dared fire CIA leaders & impose restrictions on their carte blanche activities.

Jim DiEugenio has shown that Hersh was wrong on a lot of his info about Kennedy.

@mtracy9 He doesn't pretend anything. Kennedy's Operation 40 that Robert headed was designed to kill Castro. It doesn't matter if they did before him or after him. He wrote a book about Kennedy. Nixon the Crook and Reagan the crook are books on their own.

Yeah I do really wish that this would be the format for how journalism goes and how the presidents inform the people of all they want to do or the candidates instead of this 2-3 hour rat race argument were everyone cuts everyone off and maybe we get 3 mins of useful info. They should do it this way
