南國姊妹花 - 1939

攣生姊妹大蝶和小蝶的父親為識別二人, 把一對玉扣分別掛於二人頸上, 怎料兵災卻令姊妹二人失散. 小蝶隨父親於鄉下生活, 認識了從城市來的李仲青, 並與他相戀起來. 小蝶的妹妹小珍妒忌二人相戀, 企圖把二人相戀之事吉之小蝶的後母. 混亂間, 小蝶誤傷小珍. 驚惶中, 小蝶離家出走. 另一方面, 大蝶被富翁周康年收養, 取名雲英. 由於雲英歌藝出眾, 因此被二世祖張兆光垂青. 雲英不願下嫁兆光, 唯有留書出走. 期間, 雲英遇上四出找尋小蝶的仲青, 仲青憑雲英頸上的玉扣得悉雲英乃大蝶, 於是把她帶回鄉下. 仲青以為小蝶已死, 與雲英相戀起來. 此時, 小蝶被周康年的密探誤會為雲英, 強行帶返周家. 周康年將錯就錯, 硬把小蝶嫁給兆光. 幸而, 仲青和雲英於報上得知小蝶的婚訊, 及時前往相救. 當雲英知道仲青和小蝶本為戀人後, 甘願退出成全二人.

My father wrote and directed this movie. I am so surprised and glad to see my father's work. Would it be possible to get a full version of this movie, or some of his other works?

Yes. She is 胡蝶影. This was her last movie. After that, you got married. The movie was produced by herself (being the boss). She also played a 戲中戲 in which we can see the old style 粵劇 which is quite different from the later style developed by 任白. I shall upload that later.
