@extremevalid no, Diamond chainsaws do have teeth, however, they're easier and safer to use, because stone is easier to cut through than wood, there's no risk of kickback, oh, and you can lubricate with water (no good for cutting wood)

There are no cutting teeth on this piece of kit, it simply grinds it way through. It will hurt if you drop it on your foot while cutting but it will not cut you. There are no sharp teeth to do so. Having said that, gloves and goggles would be a safe bet....
