My Star Trek USS Enterprise Collection

This is my very modest collection of USS Enterprise models from Star Trek. I love the original TOS Enterprise by Matt Jeffries. Sorry J.J. Abrams, but this is the real USS Enterprise and always will be. The Abramsprise does not compare. The only reason the Fuglyprise is even in this video is because I got it for my son and it is among the Enterprises that we own.

I, personally, absolutely despise the Fuglyprise from the new Star Trek movie. I's a disproportionate, mishapen, kitbash of the TMP saucer with several alien ship-of-the-week junk slapped on to make it even uglier. Compared to the elegant simplicity of Matt Jeffries' original, the Fuglyprise pales in comparison.

@tjhaywood100 Personally Enterprise is the best because it has that excitement of jjtrek but its still star trek. PS You should make a video and list your fav star trek series and movies in order :D

@FalconWings9 I do have an Art Asylum NX-01 too. I should have put it in the video. But this was just my small collection of the original NCC-1701. And I may do a vid of my favorite series and movies. That's a good idea. Thanks!

Nice collection there, TJ. :) I'll keep commentary about J.J.'s Enterprise to myself, since you know me to be a bit more open about the ship design. But, I am glad to see that you did get it for your son. (Believe me, I know of some fanboyish parents who would refuse on "so called principle" and say "we do not support such rubbish in this house." SO hat's off to you for being a cool dad. :)

@martok2112 Thanks Martok. Tommy's new to Trek. I started him out on TOS, and he really likes it. But he likes JJ-Trek a little more. And that's fine. He's young. He has the JJ-Prise, phaser, communicator, tricorder, and Kirk and Spock action figures from the new movie. He's part of the generation Abrams was aiming at I think. So more power to him. I'm not going to stifle his passions :)

I love all the variants of the Enterprise except the JJ-prise. I envy your collection. Got any Klingon ships?

@jtschau Thanks! Nope, I don't have any Klingon ships. Just a few Enterprises. I also just got an F-Toys TOS Enterprise model. It's much more accurate than the Furuta model. Hopefully I can get some more ships. I'd like to get a D-7 Battlecruiser and a TOS Romulan Warbird.

I agree, the Abrams version is an ugly POS. It looks too busy like someone just kept adding crap to make it just different enough....

@SpartanPrimus Well, Jar Jar Abrams was going for "realism". So apparently, he thought making a 23rd century FTL starship's engine room look like the one from the Titanic was "realistic".

@Kleavers You are correct sir. The matter anti-matter needs very little room to create a release of energy that is over 1,000,000,000 times larger then any device or explosive that we know of today . . . the ability to contain that release of energy in a tube about 4 ft accross, thats what I was refering to. I was not trolling or trying to make an argument, just stating my view.

@Kleavers I agree some what, but engineering looked like an engine room to me. I always thought TOS and TNG engineering looked WAY too small to run that ship, but thats my 2 cents take it how it is.
