  • I think these sound so cool and different, and really appreciate the "lesson".

I wish that instead of having to stop and replay the tape 50 times (maybe others don't find this necessary) that the tab could also be given. but I guess that is cheating?

I am learning it anyway, even if I don't instantly know where the "C#" is. Not having the fretboard memorized is admittedly a limitation.

  • @arrowspace90 hey there! The notation is all on my website. I just updated the info under the video with the proper link since I can't put it here in the comments.

  • Who's Kristofer Dahl?

  • Very nicely done. Would love more lessons on country scales and their application to lead.

Sometimes I think it's better not to rely on tab too much, and rely on your ear more.

  • Your leaving out a major part in this lesson. Something I'm not sure you know or not. You need to hold every note as long as you can with your left hand. That's how you get the cascading sound. If you notice, your C maj scale and C cascading scale sound exactly alike because your not doing this.

P.S. I don't mean to sound like a jerk. Just putting it out there so people get it right.

  • very nice absolutely helpful

    greetings from borger, netherlands

  • no biggie but that 'g' that you play at the end of the second scale is actually an 'a'

  • Man. you didn't even edit this video much (or at all). Amazing skills... My only little complaint would be that you don't play the riff at full speed before you show the slowed down version.

But you are a cool, complete guitar player.

  • Also watch some of Marshall Harrison's hybrid picking videos if you want to be blown away.

  • Great class , man.

    Thanks froms Spain!!!!!

  • This is great, thanks.
