Regardless of the trumpeter having a very bad day (I'm glad I wasn't in his/her shoes), this is an astounding composition! Music written this well can withstand anything musicians do to it and still sound fantastic! I've heard the ELP adaptation of this piece far more often than the original, and I'm always moved by the original. (Ok, both really.) Copeland had such instinct when it came to putting what notes where. And what a percussion score! Focus on the negative if you want. It's your loss.

Nice intonation and nice overall sound but the so called "wrong notes" are just some very bad attacks at the beginning of the notes....someone missed their warm-up in the trumpet section...:)

When people talk about classical music everyone forgets American composers. Copland's music to me is the personification of classical American music!
