True to a point...I don't think he should totally get rid of it. The guitar slide sounds real nice when it isn't over done like in this case. Otherwise it's a real smoove beat.

Hey man I really think you should use a guitar sound without the slide effect only because it really sounds cheezy not saying your beat isnt good but you have got skills just gotta know what sounds to use ... Im a producer and noticed that right off the bat . Keep up the good work man... I would consider looking into omnisphere for guitar sounds homie... They are killer ...

He should, but it's so hard to compress / EQ guitar unless you're in a real studio setting...

You should know about chords as you learn to play what's on the sheet. The best players who can sightread are only able to because they can recognize chords so well.

You seems to know your chords pretty well though, since when you compose you know how to use the correct chord with your left hand you harmonize with your right hand. Is that how you learn music theory, by taking piano lesson? They sure didn't teach me that. only taught me how to play what's on the sheet.
