  • Got the original vinyl. what harmony!

  • @mozart77 Thank you for that information. I think Take 6 is the top when it comes to A capella singing and jazz harmonies. I've always loved the Hi-Lo's as well, and I didn't realize they were an influence on Take 6.

  • HI-LO´s stórlega vanmetnir áhrifavaldar og forverar Manhattan Transfer, Four Freshmen , Beach Boys og ekki síst Take Six í hnausþykkum fjórrödduðum söng...

  • @MALP1231 Take 6 is my favorite a cappela group and when I just started listening to Take 6 at the beginning they would mention the Hi-Lo#s as one of their influences....that's when I looked up these guys and fell in love! As you rightly said....impeccable!!!!

  • Check out Perpetuum Jazzile for

a great version of one of Gene's arrangements, Killing Me Softly.

  • I was raised, listening to this remarkable, innovative and extremely talented group. I LOVE them. My mom bought the album which contained this song. I would listen to it for hours. They had beautiful voices, perfect pitch and harmony....impeccable. I was 8 years old in 1957. The present group, which comes closest to their style, is Take 6. They sing and harmonize beautifully....I wouldn't be surprised if Take 6 was influenced by the Hi Lo's.

  • These guys harmonisations/blend are perfect....you hear every chord clearly!!!

  • @nrivers3 Check out some of the more recent Barbershop quartet champions. They sing a lot that would be right up your alley!

  • thanks for posting this song i remember my dad played it when he was even younger than i am now (65) the very modern Frank Comstock big band; i loved it then when i was about ten i think, and i love it today and i enjoyed all what came between then and now

  • I had nat king cole version live in Paris of this....great as you can imagine but these cats killed it with those ahrmonies and falsettos.Reminds me of the old disney soundtracks LOVE IT
