One of my favourites from 1977's The Clash (UK). Mick Jones made an interesting guitar work in this one. Epiphone Dot. (This song originally was 1 step higher, which sounded lovely, but due to Joe's voice, it was changed 1 step down).

  • And who said that punk rock is two cords????????

  • GOOD!!

  • Have been playing this non stop on the way to work recently, great song. Well played too by Orlandoflowers, great work son!!!

  • great man...

    nice power play ******

  • I saw "The Future is Unwritten" last week & Strummer is, without a doubt, the Mother Teresa of music. Humble as ever, Jones & Strummer.

  • @Mickolboy1 With you there Mick. (I used to be pernicketty but I can't sign into that account anymore since I took You Tube's advice and linked my Google & You Tube accounts - clever that.)

  • @pernicketty Too right, I adore this song & will never, ever stop playing it.

  • This also has been my favourite Clash song, dunno why The Clash never played this more often, completely underrated & beautiful. Since 1977, I've never ever got bored of listening to this.

  • nice :))
