She said there were times when it is more convenient to be clothed, and I would think during your period would be one of those times. As for sitting where someone else's bare ass has been, that's mostly a mental game rather than a serious health issue, but you could just listen to Douglas Adams and always carry a towel. Sit on that instead of directly on a seat, and that's functionally the same as being clothed.

Nudism is weird for around 5 minutes, then you get over it and literally nothing seems more natural. 90s in East Germany, one of the few positive effects of communism - if you don't have freedom in flying to all those places the rest of the world (like the neighbors behind the wall could), you can at least enjoy the lakes and countryside at home - and it's amazingly cool just to go to any old lake, throw your clothes into a pile and enjoy life. It's all westernized now :/

When I was 12 at summer camp we were on a hike in the woods and a middle aged nude man passed by us. He stopped to talk and he was really nice and everything, talking about the campsite we were headed toward. Some of my friends were really awkward and looking away, but I was just talking to him and he was a really cool guy.
