Thank you for this. I follow your videos on James-my favorite Idol! But when I saw this I had to comment. You are a special person-and so right to say something to that woman. I also have, on occasion, confronted parents I thought were abusing or neglecting their children. I've thought to myself-if parents treat their childen like this in public, God knows what they do behind closed doors. Good luck to you-and keep up the support for James! From his #2 fan-Lisa.

To start out with, I believe that when a parent spanks a child, that the child needs to be reminded that the paddling, spanking was for his or her actions and remind them that they are still loved. After a child is spanked, the punishment should be over.

My dad had a leather belt. At most, I would only get three licks with it. Afterward, he would let me have some "me" time and then come in and explain the reasons for him doing it.

Do you think that's reasonable weezie63?

The ONLY whoopin' I ever got was with a 2x4. I was 15, and it was the only time I ever saw my Dad lose it. What I'd been caught at was "pretty bad," but no way bad enough to send him into such a blind fury. I believed for those several minutes that he was going to kill me. He realized later that he was very wrong, and I don't think he ever forgave himself.

that action is going to turn out. you don't know where they are going to end up. i'm glad i got to stay with my mom even though she didn't always spank me correctly. i had friends who were rapped in foster homes. also popping a child is not illegal and shouldn;t be i mean its the christian way and everyone here in lubbock boasts how christian they are.

The worst thing I got a woopin with was a text book and a music stand. Once I got old enough to fight back I did. My mom has a very short temper. Now as far as pooping a kid on the leg or hand or something I don't disagree with. And no thr worst thing that can happen is that child is taken away because cps is corrupt. If people would look into cps you'd see they get paid to take babies away. I can tell you think I wouldn't call cps on the worst parent. because you never know how

I didnt get hit with objects but I got more mental beatings then anything. I would get screamed at, made fun of, be forced to go with ot sleep and with out food, ect ect.

The love that you exude from your words to your demeanor is amazing...I am certain the healing process for you is not over and will never be over..Although you chose to walk on that path as hard and terrifying and bitter and angry that was you did it.
