Autodesk developer, Hans Kellner, demonstrates using Autodesk Mudbox software on a Perceptive Pixel Multi-touch device. Hans is developing multi-touch interfaces at Autodesk. This is a development copy of Mudbox that Hans instrumented to interface with multi-touch capabilities. • I'm not rich so I don't have a Cintiq, I only have the Bamboo pen & touch and these multitouch functions would be awesome!

  • @Pruxii Multitouch is available in many inexpensive home-grown forms as demonstrated on the procastineering blog.

  • do i have to buy this big expensive monitor?

  • @reygood1 The version of Mudbox you see here was one that was instrumented for Autodesk Labs. When multi-touch devices get more popular, we can make a multi-touch Mudbox generally available. We can do this when the time comes that you don't need to buy this big expensive monitor.

  • I think it would be better if one finger was used for rotating the camera and 2 fingers to pan around, rather than using two HANDS to rotate the camera!!!

  • @letmego11 Noted. We do use one finger for orbit, two for pan/zoom, three for rotating about an axis, six for pull apart, and ten for reset.

  • @gerdschwaderer Thank you for the enthusiasm. This is something we can consider for the future.

  • So where is MUDBOX for the IPAD?

I'd apply for a Job at Autodesk immediately.

  • @XeaxDScom I'm gonna begin with 3d modelling on a multitouch display - so I would be used to it :)

  • idd it wont help much lol..
