@avbria yea, I meant that Hurwitz is a Elite subaltern, I had trouble downloading Ella's vlog she made on there months aho, so I didnt download. I had to today just for you to see what you tried to point out. I had not realize it meant two different things. subaltern elites and elite subalterns. Thank you for getting this to my attention. I would mean that Hurwitz is an elite subaltern, because it is not ok to have Catherine Murphy! She is the Mistress turning Gallaudet into a whore of Audism!

@Bunjer Haven't you seen Ella's vlog based on her analysis from Deafhood studies? How do you know it is the same thing? I would need to review it myself in the book.

You know business is business. It is like politics how former Republicans swaying to Democratic party. As for the time being, all we have to do is to wait and see what kind of actions Murphy will take from then on. I would rather focus and discuss on this topic so you can bring it up about your point in your vlog about assimilation

@avbria Elite Subaltern, and Subaltern Elitist means the same thing. In fact, it means that a dysconsicious Audist (deaf or a hearie deaf person) would brown nose the hearing and oppress his or her own people. Why would you think Catherine Murphy would side with the Deaf Community, after what she did to the Deaf Community in her professional carreer, assimilating deaf into hearing people? Oralism, and CI's do not work, and did any of them become VRS relay interprters etc? Did they? Yes? No?

@Bunjer No we should not! It is truly an unfortunate situation. However, we cannot reject those who are oralists who arrive at Gallaudet but offer extensive welcome to them with a friendly orientation program where they are able to feel assimilated and comfortable to learn ASL and develop language skills.

@Bunjer It is not exactly well established, true. Ever since the 2006 protest, there were changes and additions to the program hoping to make ASL/Bilingualism stronger that the program has been recognized such as students taking ASL as a course during freshman year and that ASL is to be respected. You must have meant Elitist Subaltern when referring to Hurwitz? Go and google "Ella's flashlight subaltern elitist" and the video will help you clarify the differences between those two.

@avbria Seriously, its alarming.. We should not tolerate any form of AUDISM at Gallaudet. DId black people tolerate RACISM? Nope! We shouldn't either. Gallaudet is not ours yet, its still infested by Audist termites.. It should be a true Deafhood University! No oralism allowed! They should have an Oralism University elsewhere maybe on the moon! We don't need it here on Earth, or Eyeth, cause everyone knows better!

@avbria No such thing as ASL/Bilingual at Gallaudet. It's a struggle for Deaf Idenity at Galladuet, and across the country everywhere. Even closing, one of the new Charter Bi/Bi Schools, for example, etc. Catherine Murphy is a powerful lady behind EHDI , AB2072. She was a Co-chair of an audist alliance organization sponsored by AGBell. Audism is everywhere at Gallaudet. Dr Hurwitz a Subaltern Elitist, should stick with a 5 plus foot tall fence, another protest is coming up!
