I am 22 and have had this for the past year. I'm not sure what that means since i'm so early, but I'll have to deal with it I guess. These cysts get large and painful and always come around the time I'm ovulating or menstrating which is consistent with the hormone claim. I love my coffee, so don't believe I'll be able to cut out caffeine unless its just a dire need. The advice to wear bras is interesting... does it help or just ease discomfort? I will be cutting out sugar & starting birthcontrol
@msbettyloo86 Im 25 and I discovered I had fibrocystic breasts around the same age, my mom, her mom and a couple of my aunties have it as well. Lately it's been a cause of so much discomfort and low self esteem to the point that I feel uncomfortable even in front of my boyfriend.... if you have any handy tricks-please let me know lol
@msbettyloo86 Although some women state that their symptoms get better if they avoid consuming caffeine, chocolate, tea or soda there is no consistent evidence that changing the dietary intake of fat, caffeine, or chocolate makes a difference in relieving the symptoms. Reducing sugar may also help reduce overall symptoms.
I discovered that I have fibrocystic breasts when I was 21. In time its started to hurt before getting my period to the point I cry sometimes. I kinda resolved it by getting myself into a hot shower it tends to get better.
Its been 1year and a half from my last check up. Im scared to feel them incase I feel the lumps and get in panic :(
how often should I do checkups? I am 24 now
IS there a possibility to go away with age? or does it get worse?
